Meet Amelia! Drawing since she could hold a pencil, Amelia’s love for animals and nature has inspired her art throughout all the stages of her life, including her time at Canterbury. Although she was not able to bring the upstairs wall from stairwell F home with her to complete her mural, her pixelated abstract/expressionist piece entitled The Lament of Fire is living on through her alternate mural on canvas. In the following months, Amelia is looking forward to pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree at Queen’s University, while continuing to explore her no doubt lifelong passion for art.
Although not in its usual form, Amelia is delighted to have had a hand in the production of this year's Visual Arts Gradshow, A Pretty Kettle of Fish. She is honoured to be a part of the resilient class of 2020 and will forever hold Visual Arts Canterbury (and all the people that make it up) in special place in her heart.
